Heeellloooo, Morning (and Hand, Foot, and Mouth Cooties).

Day One and I was not defeated!

Although I had my doubts as I put Buddy to bed with an almost 103 degree fever last night, with the Lord's help I was able to keep my commitment for quiet time with Him!

(The sick boy and the sister that gets 'popsicles for dinner' benefits at the expense of his sufferings.)

The Quiet Time Details

It wasn't at 5:00 a.m.  Because the little guy was sick and our mornings were starting later because it was Sunday, I didn't push myself (and my luck) with the early time.  I didn't leave the house.  Because Buddy could wake at any moment with any new symptom from this new illness, I didn't want to take a chance in not being there for whatever he might need.  I hope to put my backpack to use at some point this week.  It wasn't especially memorable.  Buddy began to whimper in his bed the moment I sat up and turned on my bedside lamp, so I felt very distracted and sort of like a foreign spy as I quietly turned pages and fumbled around for my Kindle.  That also meant I didn't listen to praise music this morning, which I know I definitely missed.

Turns out this whole first week of appointments with Jesus may be a little 'challenging.'  (Guess that's why this is called my HelloMornings challenge.)  Buddy gained some sores in his mouth overnight, which proclaim to the world that he's likely gotten the Hand, Foot, and Mouth yuckiness that's making it's way around preschool.  (Hence the 'popsicles for dinner' you see above.)

By the way, those popsicles were quite tasty, if I do say so myself.  I had to keep myself from drinking the blended mix while pouring it in the molds!

Quick and Easy Orange, Pineapple, & Cream Yogurt Pops:

8oz Trader Joe's Vanilla and Cream yogurt

Handful of Trader Joe's frozen pineapple tidbits

Orange juice until the mixture meets the 2 cup mark on your measuring cup

Blend (I used my handy stick blender), then pour into popsicle molds.  It made 7 of the small pops for us, half of which are gone!

Here's to tomorrow!  Palm Sunday blessings to all of you that I love so very, very much!  Hosanna!
